The records were transferred to the College Archives from various sources on the campus.

Related Materials

This collection consists of news clippings on various subjects related to the College of Staten Island. Most of the articles were originally published in the Staten Island Advance.

The College maintains clippings files of news stories related to the College, and periodically reprints selected clippings in the form of a small booklet. If these reprints have been produced continually, there are several gaps in coverage. There are several gaps for 1983-1988, and no reprints at all for 1984. There are also no reprints for 1990-2002, although there are large clippings files available for 1997 & 1998.

Although the creator of the files is often unidentified, the Office of Public Relations has traditionally maintained chronological clippings files for the College. Liz Seder donated several files of clippings on Campus Consolidation, but the circumstances of the creation of those files remain unclear.

There are no press release files in the College of Staten Island records at this time.
